Branching Out with The Acorn Newspapers

Turning Tragedy Into Awareness

Listen Later

Westlake Village resident Matthew Pall knows the effects of the opioid epidemic firsthand. He lost his girlfriend and later his best friend to overdoses, and has spent years as a paramedic, resuscitating people in the back of an ambulance.

Pall has taken it upon himself to prevent others experiencing similar pain by founding Conejo Health, an organization that distributes Narcan--a drug that treats overdoses--and teaches people how to administer it, as well as how to spot the signs of an overdose.

He sat down with the hosts of Branching Out to share his story.
