Topic: SURVIVOR'S INSTINCT (Part 2)!
Memory Verse: "Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me" - Micah 7:8 KJV
Bible Text: Psalm 119:71 KJV
71. It is good for me that I have been afflicted; That I might learn thy statutes.
INSPIRATION: Yesterday, we talked about the harmful effect of revenge. The energies and emotions for revenge could be channelled in more constructive and objective ways that would benefit you and others. A more constructive way in the long run, may be to join or begin an organization dedicated to victims’ issues or to prevent what happened to you from happening to others. Having been a victim, you are in a unique position to help others who also have been wounded.
Being a victim, you may have acquired insight into the conditions that contributed to your trauma. Others who've never been traumatized may not have such insights. There're countless ways to use your grief for good. At times, the best revenge is a well-spent life. As a survivor, one major goal is to take better care of yourself spiritually, emotionally and physically. Surviving a trauma can be a big form of revenge in certain situations. In addition, further revenge is to develop yourself—to go on to enjoy life and make a contribution to it.
TODAY'S TAKE HOME:
As a survivor, reward yourself with a better life. Be very intentional with your choices.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, please help me to make a paradigm shift as to how I view a trauma. Empower me to turn every past hurt into a purpose birthing venture. Guide me in this new discovery, that I can make the most of my past not to only empower myself but others, in Jesus name.
