In our fourth wānanga, Te Otane Huata, Dayle Takitimu, Tina Ngata, and Bianca Ranson dive into how colonisation can be seen as an abusive relationship on a collective scale. This tumultuous relationship has left lasting challenges for Māori for over 184 years. Sometimes breaking free requires you to identify the red flags and no longer accept less than what you deserve.
Our kaikōrero highlight that we are at a crucial point in our history, with our people working hard to heal, empower, and reclaim Māori identity. This movement is being noticed globally, as our other Indigenous whānau also ignite the fires of liberation.
