Critic Reviews:
"Spunky 32-year-old narrator Tina Finn is at her mother's funeral when she learns of her possible inheritance of an $11-million Central Park West palace. While she's been slogging it out as a trailer-dwelling cleaning lady, her somewhat estranged mother has gone from blue collar to living in eccentric splendor with her new husband, Bill..... Enter Bill's sons, who want possession of the apartment, which is, after all where they grew up. Soon, a full-on real estate war erupts, and the building's quirky residents take sides. Throw in a possible ghost and romantic interludes, and ...[T]his should find a nice slot on the cozier end of the Manhattan real estate fiction canon." (Publishers Weekly)

Three Stars
A interesting biography!
Interesting characters.
An interesting story line set in NYC. Characters are all fun. The language was a little rough. Enjoyed very much.
annoyed me but i couldn't put it down
in the end, i really liked this book - it took awhile to get going and catch my attention, but once it did, i couldn't put it down.
Twelve Rooms with a View
I loved this book. Coming fron NY you always respected those large beautiful apts. Loved reading this story.
A Satisfying Pleasure To Read
I enjoyed this story immensely because I like visiting Manhattan and I like old apartments. However, the real pleasure came from the characters in the story. Theresa Rebeck is a gifted writer when it comes to creating characters. These people are incredibly real. They were such distinct individuals that at one point I thought perhaps they were people that she knew. That goes for the main characters as well as those with minor roles. There is no doubt that Rebeck' s talent with dialogue has a lot to do with it. In fact, she is so good with writing dialogue, she deserves a separate award just for that. It's a good story with enough surprises to keep you turning the pages to see what's going to happen next. Even though Twelve Rooms With A View is chock full of humor, it is a dramatic story that could really happen. Compared to Jennifer Belle' s Little Stalker, Twelve Rooms' humor is, if not more subtle, at least more believable. But, I'm talking Apple's and oranges, and both books were fun to read.
