"Dave Rabbit" was on his third tour in Vietnam and witnessed first hand the plummeting moral of the troops slogging it out in the jungles. He noticed no one spoke their language or shared their dark sense of humor. Dave wanted to take the voice of the troops to the troops who were fighting for their lives. Most of us have heard the story of "The Lone Survivor" and the battle that took place during Operation Red Wings. I have been told by multiple individuals to dig deeper into the story because there are too many holes and too much Hollywood. I put it off for a while but decided to take a deep dive into the now famous incident which led to the deaths of 19 servicemen.

Bass Reeves was a deputy U.S. Marshal, gunfighter, farmer, scout, tracker, railroad agent, and a runaway slave. He was one of the first African-American Deputy U.S. Marshals west of the Mississippi River, mostly working in the deadly Indian Territory. Reeves made up to 4,000 arrests in his lifetime, killing twenty men in the line of duty.
