This week is an interview with Summer Murdock. Summer is a mother of four, photographer and teacher. We talk about the first photos she took of her kids and how her work has evolved over time.

Summer teaches a course, The Magic of Light. I ask Summer to talk about the first assignment in the course which asks her students to go out and simply photograph light without people in the frame.

Summer loves to ask the question, "What if?" She tells us about a recent experience taking photos in a familiar place but using less predictable techniques like free lensing.

Like me, Summer loves underwater photography of her family. She tells us about the cameras that were victims to this passion and why that doesn't stop her from submerging her camera.
