Rev. Will Green considers the story of Deborah in the Book of Judges and finds resources to offer white people being called in to fight racism.
"Think of the chant you might have learned in the streets, “When Black Lives are under attack, what do we do? Stand up, fight back!” The answer to that call “When Black Lives are under attack” is not, “we ask the leaders to use less violent sounding phrasing because our feelings are more important than what other people are suffering under.” No, it’s stand up fight back. We fight back.
There is something for me that resonates with this simple truth and the story of Deborah calling people into battle."
