We are in Holy Week, and the story of Jesus’s last days are full of anguish, betrayal, denial, Pilate’s cynical manipulation of the situation to extinguish a threat to Rome...and, love and solidarity and women who refuse to abandon Jesus. The story is full of humanity, at its best and its worst.

For Good Friday, three of our podcast contributors -- John Bergen, Nichola Torbett, and new contributor Sarah Jordan -- will be reflecting on the crucifixion of Jesus and of brown and Black people today. What does crucifixion mean in his day, and in ours? What does it mean for those of us who are positioned as white? What should our response, our action be?
