"Since we’re here in this story with Peter’s fear, and Jesus’, I want to zoom in particular on fear. Because what I know from doing work with lots of white folks, both in faith settings and not in faith settings, from being alongside friends and family in processes of waking up to racism and seeking to act against it, and, in working with the person I see every morning in the mirror: I see that it’s true. White folks operate with a lot of fear."
