  • 是……的｜To Talk About PAST Events in Chinese｜HSK1-3｜Chinese Grammar

    In this podcast, we are using a basic structure 是……的 to talk to each other.

    是……的 is a structure mostly used in past events, to emphasize time, place, with whom, who did the action, methods, and materials.
    Chinese always omit “是” while they are talking， But the “的” is essential and can not be omitted.
    Although the grammar definition says this structure is to emphasize, Actually we use it a most time when we talk about PAST events.
