The Lord Jesus often spoke words that divided His hearers, into just two groups. The wise and foolish, insiders and outsiders, those on the broad way and narrow way. When He spoke the simple but profound parable of the Two Foundations, His hearers were divided but also astonished. Many relied on an outward, works based religion but He spoke of a solid Foundation of repentance and of Knowing God personally.
