Two Jobs

Listen Later

BFBC-Glendive | Wednesday

Tire Gauge Prop - This is how you tell how much air
pressure you have in your tire. You can examine this
tool and know exactly where your tires are, how to
adjust them to perform better, last longer, and not
promote failure.

● A tire has two jobs...provide traction and comfort.
● w/o the proper inflation it is unable to perform its
purpose.

Christians have two jobs...love God and people...without
proper development we are unable to perform our
purpose.

A good gauge on how you are performing these tasks is
how you treat other people.

● 1 Tim 2:1 Therefore I exhort first of all that
supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of
thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all
who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and
peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For
this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our
Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to
come to the knowledge of the truth.
● 2 Peter 3:9 not willing that any should perish but
that all should come to repentance
● John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave
His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in
Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17
For God did not send His Son into the world to
condemn the world, but that the world through
Him might be saved.
● This is the will of God...that anyone and everyone
would go from the kingdom of darkness into the
kingdom of light...and that those in the light would
go from being carnal to being spiritual.
● 1 Cor 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not
envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not
rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not
delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It
always protects, always trusts, always hopes,
always perseveres. 8 Love never fails.
● These are attributes of God, as we progress from
being carnal into spiritual these traits will be
visible in our lives.
● Gal 5:22 love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, & self-control.
● Luke 6:32 But if you love those who love you, what
credit is that to you? For even sinners love those
who love them. 33 And if you do good to those
who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For
even sinners do the same. 34 And if you lend to
those from whom you hope to receive back, what
credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to
sinners to receive as much back. 35 But love your
enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in
return; and your reward will be great, and you will
be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the
unthankful and evil. 36 Therefore be merciful, just
as your Father also is merciful. 37 "Judge not, and
you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you
shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be
forgiven.
● Rom 12:14 Bless those who persecute you; bless
and do not curse.
