Rammer has to take a drive down to the Lake so we decided to upgrade our cohort from the Saint Louis Billiken's broadcast booth and bring in the legend Earl Austin Jr!
With an offseason of movement and expectation around the Billikens, we jumped into all the roster moves for Saint Louis and why it's so damn hard to keep our expectations in check. And Earl breaks down Travis Ford's consistent success and recruiting at a sustained level that Saint Louis fans have rarely had to luxury to watch.
And then we get into a wild NBA post-season that has shifted expectations a few times itself...
What did Earl see from a young Grizzlies team that just didn't have enough?
Where did the regular season Suns go and will we see them reload? (Essentially 5+ minutes of my favorite game: How dumb is Robert Sarver really?)
And with just a couple hours before tip-off, Earl go into how the momentum in the Eastern Conference Finals has changed and shifted towards the Boston Celtics--and the joy of watching Jayson Tatum take leap-after-leap in front of our very eyes.
And we may have jumped the gun a little bit...but we had to get Earl's thoughts on the POTENTIAL Warriors-Celtics matchup--will the Celtics bench be enough? Will Tatum be able to take this team to another level against a championship squad? And is there a better game-within-the-game matchup available than Marcus Smart v. Steph Curry?
Next time we talk we'll be breaking down more Warriors-Celtics or once again apologizing for calling every single game wrong so far...So I guess congratulations will be in order for Miami? Sorry, Tatum family...
