Two Mikes - Easter Is a Babylonian Pre-Christian Pagan Holiday with Fred Coulter

Listen Later

Mr. Fred Coulter again joined The Two Mikes to discuss Christianity and its current problems in America.
It is a long podcast. Enjoy!
Given the season, Mr. Coulter spoke about Easter. The Easter holiday, he said, was another Christian/Catholic holiday that was drawn from the legacy from the pre-Christian Babylonian holiday, one that honored one of its goddesses.
Indeed, Mr. Coulter explained that most Christian holidays are, in one way or another, linked back to Babylonia. This transfer from a pagan to a Christian holiday, of course does not bring the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ into question, it certainly throws the timing of the latter into question, in terms of what day of the week the events occurred.
Indeed, the reality is that most of the Christian world's holidays can be traced to the legacy of the ancient Babylonians. Mr. Coulter went on to note that one of the significant problems faced by American Christians is that they are no longer sure of what is in the Bible and what is not.
The trinity, Mr. Coulter said, does not appear in the Bible. Indeed, the Holy Ghost is written about as the agent of God. Peter, moreover, never went to Rome and is buried on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, not in the Vatican's catacombs. All told, Mr. Coulter said, we should all remember that the road to salvation lies in baptism, repentance, and the acceptance of the Holy Spirit.
Mr. Coulter suggested that listeners might be interested in an old but still important book called The Two Babylons by Rev. Alexander Hsilip.
