God has a long memory. --Earthly Fathers make many promises to their children- even to themselves. We often fail to keep them, creating all sorts of issues in our children.--Our Heavenly Father has a long memory, and perfect power. What he promises, he performs. What he says, he does.--Paul and Silas enter Thessalonica where they, once again, begin their evangelism among the Jews, who reject them and force them out of the city. No matter- Paul and Silas travel 40 miles to Berea, where they receive a dramatically different welcome by Jews. --In one city, the Jews riot and seek to destroy. In the other, the Jews gather and seek to understand.--Why does Luke record these two particular situations- --Because God keeps his promises. What he promises, he performs. He never forgets a promise, and his eyes are upon the Jews.
