This Sunday Pastor Tim continues The Two Scrolls series, looking at Luke 23:1-47.
Sermon Questions March 24, 2024
1. Have you ever been falsely accused of something? How did it make you feel? How did you respond? How did Jesus respond to His accusers? Why do you think Jesus chose to respond as He did?
2. Luke's entire description of the actual act of crucifying Jesus consists of three words (Luke 23:33 "...they crucified him...") Why do you think Luke gives so little description to an event that is so central to the Christian faith?
3. Luke spends time telling the story of the two men crucified with Jesus. What lessons do you draw from their stories?
4. Francis Spufford has written, "Taking the things people do wrong seriously is part of taking them seriously." What does that mean? How does it relate to the crucifixion?
