The account of the thief on the cross is one of great interest among Christians. We often find ourselves reading this event for comfort, knowing that Christ loves us and will forgive anyone who repents, even a criminal. But is this recorded section of the Bible an example of how we today must be saved? Were we ever commanded by Jesus to be saved like a thief on a cross?
