About the Guest:
Ty Cohen is an accomplished publishing expert, internet marketer, personal development coach, mentor, internationally known speaker, former morning talk show radio personality, and author. Over the last 11 years, Ty has taught tens of thousands of individuals how to successfully market, promote & sell their books on Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing Platform using the very same system that allows him to generate upwards of $50,000.00 a month with KDP publishing. Using a unique combination of tested and proven methods and resources, Ty’s goal is to educate and empower individuals with the tools needed to operate a successful business both on and offline.
"Mrs. Cohen, you should not expect your son to live past the age of 17", told the doctor outside a major hospital.
They didn't know the kid lying on this bed heard their conversation. The boy pulled the covers over his head and did what a 12 year old does. Crying.
12 year old Ty Cohen was in the hospital for 3 weeks and was going through a major health crisis.
"5 years is an eternity when you're 12 but you also know it's not much time", says Ty Cohen who later became an accomplished internet marketer and over a decade ago, took a major gamble with his life financially by quitting his corporate job.
He went on to build a business that flourished and at one point in time, he had to write a check worth $400,000 to the IRS.
Born with a chronic blood disorder, Ty Cohen never knows a day when he did not have to be conservative or cautious of getting sick. People with chronic blood disorder-sickle cell anemia die in their 20s or 30s. In fact, his sister passed away aged 27.
He had these pain crises since he was 8 and the only way to minimalize the pain is with heavy dosages of medicine. This continued till his 30s. Often he'd be sick in the hospital for weeks.
Coming across a book by Personal development coach Les Brown proved to be a major turning point in Ty's career.
The business Ty started after quitting his job, was generating millions of dollars in sales and totally transformed his life as well as the lives of countless others in just a few short years.
In his childhood, Ty lived in one of the worst areas in the USA where epidemics broke out. “State troopers and police officers were afraid to go because they could get shot at. They would be running out of their cars”, says Ty. It all sounds like something that you would only see in a movie.
Despite all this, Ty Cohen went on to become a Tycoon of kindle publishing and built an empire to the tune of multi-millions of dollars a year.
Today, Ty is changing people’s lives by putting together programs and which can affect millions of people whom he'll never meet.
Listen to The man who should have been dead by the age of 17 was able to use the adversities of sickness and poverty to build several multi-million dollar businesses.

Insights from Ty
I started practicing for a few years to be as intentional and aware as possible with almost every movement that's made on a day-to-day basis
Never let someone else's opinion of you become your reality
Everything starts with a decision: you have to decide to make that change and then from there you start to see things fall in place
Stop being so smart, stop over analyzing things; that will hold you back
The thing that paralyzes us the most is not taking the right actions; we don't act as we planned in our notes
Every single day do something that's going to push you forward, it all goes back to having habits, the habit of doing something every day even if you just have to put five minutes
You have to become a master of the craft at what you want to be dominant at
I'm developing the habit of being the guy who is not satisfied with ever missing a day
To be the best dad, best father develop that habit of never missing a day with your kids and doing something for them
Once you start to make moves, everything else comes into play; to the point where it's hard just to shut it off
All you have to make to get started online is your first dollar
If you want to get to the next level, you have to have something that pushes you forward; a reason, a why
Be very careful with what group you identify with
Anything that we want to accomplish, we can actually do it: but it does take a lot of work, it does take sacrifices
Make sure you don't fall into the wrong group and also find the right group to associate with
You have to align yourself with groups where the success that you're after is beyond normal for that group
There's never going to be a point in life where you're not going to have some struggle
People that see your growth as being like dangerous to them could be something that can screw with you
You can be too busy making all the money and not living life; you have to live your life too
Sometimes you have to schedule these things out like vacations, making sure that you are reaping the rewards from the hard work that you put in
If I miss two days of not meditating, I don't feel right
The more we think about it, the more we give ourselves reasons not to do it
Work on discipline in every single area of your life because the way you do anything is the way you do everything
Whenever you get an idea for something, act on it immediately; because the longer that you wait on something the less likely it is to happen
With growth comes bigger and better problems, that's part of that growth process
