Ty Montgomery earning respect from Jordy Nelson

The Green Bay Packers always seem to find a gem at wide receiver.  This year they drafted Stanford wide receiver Ty Montgomery, in the third round.  Ted Thompson has always operated the draft by taking the best player available.  Some questioned a wide receiver, with the glaring needs on defense.  With Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb locked up long term; and the emergence of DaVante Adams, the Packers were only one injury away from having a depleted receiving unit.  With the early success of Montgomery, there has been talk about the Packers carrying six receivers, into the regular season. Jordy Nelson said, "Taking away the athletic part of it, just his approach to understanding our playbook, asking questions, trying to be detailed as much as possible in a short amount of time."
Last years third round draft pick Khyri Thornton is in a different situation.  Thornton injured his hamstring in the final preseason game, and was placed on the injured reserve list.  Had he not been injured many believe he would not have made the roster.  He has not impressed so far in camp, and could be looking for a new team.  What are your early thoughts on training camp?
