As tensions rise in the narrative, the religious leaders continue to reject Jesus. In rejecting Jesus, they are really rejecting God the Father. In this passage, we will see three warnings of rejecting God the Father, and we will see how the Father and the Son are united in all of this.
- Do not reject the authority from the Father (11:27-33)
- The Father has given authority to His Son
- Do not reject the gifts from the Father (12:1-9)
- The Father has given messengers who point to His Son
- The Father has given salvation that is found in His Son
- Do not reject the work of the Father (12:10-12)
- The Father has raised His Son
- The Father has established His Son as the Cornerstone
