Paul's prayer to believers is that they would know God's will, live a life that bears fruit and give thanks for the redemption that comes from Christ.

In the first few verses of Colossians, we see that Jesus Christ alone can produce true hope, faith, and love. Just as the Colossians knew Christ but were enticed by other ideas, so we must once again (even daily) look back to Christ alone for hope in this life. That hope is found in the gospel, and produces faith in Christ and love for the Saints.

This week we begin a new series in the book of Colossians. As we begin, we'll do an overview of the entire book, tracing the theme of "The Sufficiency of Christ".
