Tyler Ellis had no idea he'd own a coffee shop one day, let alone at the age of 25 in the seaside town of Monterey, California. A native of Michigan, Tyler made his way east and west for work – but also for a place to call home. In the summer of 2018, he landed in Monterey, having been offered the opportunity of a lifetime to take over Captain + Stoker as co-owner with his now-fiancée, Kelsea. Tune in to hear Tyler's story and his philosophy for coffee and creating a community one cup of coffee at a time –– and his thoughts on the role of sustainability in operating a business.
