As we continue to investigate the prayer of intercession, we encounter the prayer of unity, which is specifically targeted toward those who have confessed faith in Yahweh through Christ Jesus, not toward all people on earth. Unity between believers in the goal of kingdom building and stems directly from the creational intentions within the heart of God, and it is that unity that all believers around the globe are to be praying for, in the same way that Jesus prays for it in the book of John.
