When we think of self-care I think most of our minds immediately go to bubble baths and face masks, which don't get me wrong is a great form of self-care, but it's so much more than that. While self-care can be luxurious and relaxing sometimes it's hard work that in the end is going to improve our overall well-being. So if you're ready to practice self-care in every aspect of your life this episode is for you!

In today's episode I discuss:

  • Physical self care- activites that care for your physical body; such as: skin care, exercise, getting enough sleep, making a dentist appointment, hydrating
  • Emotional self care- addressing past trauma, learning how to manage your anxiety and stress, recognizing your emotions and feeling your feelings
  • Mental self care- cultivating a positive mindset, develop mental toughness and help you grow as a person; i.e. daily affirmations, goal setting, self-help podcasts etc.
  • Practical self care- activities that prevent future stressful situations; for example, cleaning your house or creating a budget
  • Social self care- activities that nurture the important relationships that you have in your life like having a girls night or calling your mom
  • Spiritual self care: practices that remind you that you are a part of something bigger than yourself

If you practice at least one form of self-care a day, bonus points if you hit more than one category, it will help you become a better verion of yourself every day.
