Tytus Howard Traded to Browns in Offensive Line Overhaul

The Houston Texans have reached an agreement to send veteran Tytus Howard to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for a fifth-round draft selection. Upon his arrival in Cleveland, the versatile offensive lineman is expected to sign a three-year contract extension valued at $63 million. This transaction serves as a foundational step for a Browns roster facing significant turnover, as most of their previous starting blockers are no longer under contract. Howard departs Houston after seven seasons and 93 starts, bringing much-needed stability to a unit that struggled with statistical win rates last year. Although the deal is set, it remains unofficial until the NFL league year officially begins on March 11.
