Food insecurity is at an all-time high, and food support services are doing all they can to help out this Christmas season. However, some people fall through the cracks, and grassroots groups are there to help in those situations.
Peg City Kindness Crew Inc., a group of volunteers and compassionate individuals, is seeing firsthand the struggles Winnipeggers are facing. In their first 27 hours of accepting applications, they had 700 food hamper requests, and they're not in the business of letting people down.
