From spontaneous questions to unexpected birthday interruptions, this raw, unfiltered conversation goes where few UFO discussions dare to go.

Susan Gerbic is a leading voice in the world of online skepticism and digital activism. Known as the “Wikipediatrician,” she founded Guerrilla Skepticism on Wikipedia, a global volunteer project that has edited hundreds of articles on science, perceived pseudoscience, and critical thinking.

Her work has earned her multiple awards, including the James Randi Award for Skepticism in the Public Interest and recognition as a Fellow of the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry.

I know I can’t win with this interview. Some will accuse me of being too soft on Susan, or not asking the right questions, while others will say I shouldn’t have given her a platform at all. But the UFO space has more than enough drama and reality TV–style conflict — I wanted to do something different. I wanted to show that people on “both sides” of this debate can have a constructive, mature conversation, raise genuine concerns, and maybe even find common ground if we step outside our echo chambers.

This was a very last-minute discussion. From the moment Susan agreed, we went live in under 30 minutes. We agreed there would be no edits (including the moment she stepped away mid-interview to answer the door for a birthday gift delivery). What you hear is exactly what happened, start to finish, all 3 hours.

UAP Files Podcast S3E40 | In 2012, 14-year-old Nathan Thomas captured one of the most intriguing pieces of alleged UFO footage in the UK. Filmed at 3AM from his bedroom in Denbigh, North Wales, the video shows a formation of strange lights hovering silently above Crest Woods.The footage quickly gained attention online, and Nathan became known—sometimes mockingly—as “the UFO kid.”

Filmmaker Peter Glynn conducted the first and only interview with Nathan at the time. But for over a decade, Nathan has stayed silent. Until now.In this video, I sit down with Nathan Thomas—now in his late 20s—for his first interview since 2012, discussing how the incident affected him as a teenager and what he believes about what he saw that night.

Alongside the interview, I present a full technical analysis of the original footage using:

Terrain reconstruction and horizon overlays.
