Every two years, Ubuntu release an LTS version: their Long Term Support release. It's renowned for being stable, secure and no nonsense. Whilst that doesn't exactly sound sexy, it usually makes for a solid base for a Linux desktop or server choice. But this time, Ubuntu has added quite a few desktop features, a brand new 5.15 kernel and a heap of other stuff under the hood.
