On today’s show, Tim welcomes UC Berkeley Graduate Isabella Chow to the program.
Chow was a third-year student at UC Berkeley in 2018 and serving on the student senate, representing Christians on campus. A bill pertaining to LGBTQ+ issues came up with which she could not fully agree, so Isabella abstained from voting on it (not a no vote, but an abstention).
The story, including the backlash Chow encountered, is featured in the new documentary “No Safe Spaces” (available at www.NoSafeSpaces.com).
“I wasn’t elected to not listen to my conscience and not represent the constituents who voted for me,” Chow said.
