They can alienate or drive away people who try to live and believe sensibly, intelligently, and without having to apologize for the bizarre. Father William Grimm shares some thoughts on this.

A graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in New York, he is the active emeritus publisher of UCA News. Now based in the United States, he regularly contributes columns, some of which have been collected in the UCA News e-book Spoutings.
