Every year creators talk about cashing in on Q4. Black Friday. Cyber Monday. The season when brand budgets are at their highest and content demand spikes. And every year most creators watch it happen instead of capitalizing on it.
This episode is my personal Q4 prep list, ten specific things I am doing right now in my own UGC business to make sure I squeeze every bit of juice out of the biggest earning season of the year. And number ten is the thing I genuinely wish I had done three years ago.

Most behind the scenes content shows you what someone did. This episode shows you what someone was thinking while they were doing it.
Today I am taking you inside a real filming day, multiple brands, UGC deals, influencer content, and Amazon affiliate shots, all in one day. Not to give you a checklist of steps. But to show you the thought process behind every decision so you can take it and add your own flavor instead of just copying what everyone else is doing.
One thing I want to say before you dive in, if you are listening on the podcast, you are going to get a ton of value from just the audio. But some of what I am showing is visual, so I am linking the YouTube video in the show notes. Worth going back and watching if you can.

Have you ever been told to "find the brand's pain point" or "speak to their audience", and nodded along, but deep down had absolutely no idea what that actually meant?
Here's the thing. Neither do most brands.
In this episode I'm breaking down the one concept that quietly separates creators who get hired once from creators brands are desperate to hold onto. And I'm doing it with two real stories: one from a Zoom call with Cottonelle that stopped every creator in the room cold, and one from a multi-year retainer deal I just signed where I told the brand not to sell anything for three months.
They hesitated. Then they said yes. And here's exactly why.
In this episode:
β The marketing funnel explained in a way that actually sticks (using a relationship analogy, not jargon)
β Top of funnel, middle of funnel, bottom of funnel, what they actually mean and what content lives in each one
β The real Cottonelle campaign story and what happened when I asked one question nobody else in the room asked
β Why "we want brand awareness AND we want people to buy at Costco" is one of the most expensive mistakes a brand can make
β How I used this framework to land a multi-year, high ticket retainer deal, and why telling a brand NOT to sell was the move that closed it
β The one question to ask yourself every single time you get a brief
This is not new information. The marketing funnel has existed for decades. But knowing something exists and being able to articulate it are two completely different skills. And if you can articulate it, you become the creator in the room saying out loud what everybody else is aware of but nobody else can say.
That is not just hireable. That is irreplaceable.

Have you ever felt like you were learning so much: books, podcasts, courses, programs. You are completely equipped with knowledge, and yet nothing is really changing on the other side of all that learning?
So your brain spirals. Do I need another course? Is it me? Am I the problem?
This is the final episode of the seven week sprint. And this week is not a new strategy. It is the thing that takes every strategy you already have and puts it together into something that actually moves.
Information is fuel. Implementation is the engine. And this episode is the assembly.

π Haven't listened to the full sprint? Start from Week 1. They build on each other and this one lands harder with that context.
π If this sprint changed something for you, leave a review and share it with a creator who has all the parts but hasn't assembled them yet.
Your ceiling is sexy. Your floor is what actually gets you there.
Have you ever wondered why some UGC creators seem completely unshakable? A brand says no, not a problem. The algorithm dips, they keep posting anyway. Someone says UGC isn't real money, they laugh it off and keep making bank.
And then there are creators doing everything right: taking the right actions, doing the right things. Yet every small setback sends them back to square one. Every slow month makes them question the industry, their content, themselves.
This week is not about strategy. It's about something you don't typically hear talked about in the UGC space.
I'm currently in week six of a seven week sprint to get my own UGC business to consistent $20k months, while working less. And this week, big vision, came from a book that fundamentally changed how I think: Dr. Benjamin Hardy's The Science of Scaling.
This episode might make you a little uncomfortable. That's kind of the point.

π If this hit something in you, especially if it made you squirm a little, I would genuinely love to hear about it. Leave a review, follow the podcast, and let me know your "aha" (or uncomfortable) moment.
Your brand is not your aesthetic. It is your reputation. It is what people think of when they hear your name.
Have you ever wondered why some creators' success just seems to follow them wherever they go? They pivot, launch something new, try a completely different direction, and their name ALONE does the heavy lifting.
And other creators LOOK like they have a personal brand, three brand pillars, a color palette, content topics, but the moment they try to grow or pivot, they start completely from scratch.
This week I'm getting a little more vulnerable and sharing where I actually want this business to go in the next 3-5 years, and how that vision is shaping every single branding decision I make today, even when it means growing slower than I could.
This is Week 5 of my 7-week business sprint. If you haven't caught the first four episodes, I'll link them below.

You're already doing the work. Pitching, filming, editing, delivering. But what if every deal you closed could keep paying you long after you hit send?
In this episode, I'm breaking down the one concept that separates creators who seem to blow up overnight from the ones grinding with nothing to show for it.

For the first six months of my UGC business I was doing everything right. I had the portfolio. I had the pitch email. I was showing up consistently. And I was hearing absolutely nothing back.
It wasn't my portfolio. It wasn't my niche. It wasn't the algorithm. It was the way I was thinking about pitching, and the moment I changed that, everything changed.
Today I'm breaking down the exact mindset shift and the framework I now use on every single pitch. This came directly from a $35,000 sales mastermind I invested in last year. I took everything I learned and applied it to UGC, and today I'm handing it to you for free.

I did something uncomfortable this week: I audited my own content like a complete stranger would.
I pulled up the last 30 days of my UGC Instagram and TikTok content and forced myself to look at it with zero attachment. And y'all. The substance was there. The packaging? Not so much.
This is Week 2 (here's a link to Week 1!) of my 7-week sprint to 20K months, and this week was all about content. I went deep: hooks, funnel strategy, testing variables, all of it. And I'm bringing every honest, humbling moment to you.
What we're getting into this week:
The discomfort of looking critically at your own work is real. I'm in it right now. But the life you want might genuinely be on the other side of it.

Have you ever wondered why some UGC creators are stacking retainer after retainer, filming with energy, posting from overflow, building something that actually feels good, and other creators are doing everything right, pitching every day, consuming every course, and still feel like they're pushing a boulder uphill?
That was me. And the answer genuinely surprised me.
A few weeks ago I sat down to audit my business. I expected to find gaps in my strategy. I expected to find something broken in my pitching system or my content or my follow-up. And yes, there were things to tighten up.
But the real leaks? They had nothing to do with my business at all.
In this episode I'm breaking down the real reason most UGC creators hit a ceiling, and why working harder is almost never the answer.
We cover:
β Why 10x is actually easier than 2x (and what that means for your UGC business specifically)
β The consumption detox that changed how I create, and what I discovered when the noise stopped
β Why your brain is your most important business asset and how to stop running it on empty
β The ladder thought framework, and why trying to leap straight to "I'm making 10k months" is actually keeping you stuck
β The one audit I want you to do today, and it has nothing to do with your content
The upgrade I needed was not in my business. It was in my brain. And I think it might be the same for you.
