Skiing again on the weekend with my son caused a lot of thoughts and emotions. Physically and mentally drained from working long shifts and hours. I was asked to ski some terrain that I was not prepared for. Just like in my marriage, there was no one coming to save me as I was sitting in some crusty powder section in the trees. I did not prepare for this skiing session with proper sleep and nutrition. In my marriage, I did not prepare by seminars and couples counseling. It was my duty to ask for help when I needed it. I just sat there as the universe kept telling me to get back on track and talk to my spouse. My ego said I was good and doing the right thing, boy was it wrong.
