She described to Brian the horrors she saw first hand in New Zealand under Covid restrictions and the public pushback that followed.

At the start of 2026, in a relaxed Sunday morning chat, Brian Gerrish again caught up with Rachel and her new life in Australia. Rachel covered a range of topics, including the more relaxed atmosphere ‘down under’ compared to New Zealand, the conversations on the beach, meeting neighbours, the loss of Christmas, being an immigrant, young teenagers banned from social media, her treasured book from the Wellington New Zealand lockdown protests, and more.
