On Your Artwork: Aaliyah. Lil Kim, Judge Jules (Hi-Gate) and Madonna. Eminem, Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit) and Janet Jackson. Robbie Williams and Five. It is the Millennium year. The year we were all to crash and burn when technology went wonky. Another End of the World prophecy that went up the spout. Still the tunes were kinda glorious, “The Real Slim Shady”, “Let Me Be Your Fantasy”, “Rock DJ” and “Caned and Unable”. Dance music was making big waves on commercial charts in this year. Everyone was excited about Madonna’s new “Music”. She sort of crashed, burned, and fell out of favour not long after. Ohhh it wasn’t the world to crash and burn it was Madonna? Hmmm!!!? 5ive were involving Queen with a classic of theirs. Great artists of the day were making waves; Coldplay, Toploader, Janet Jackson, Limp Bizkit, Daphne & Celeste (well, those two, maybe not so much) but they had a hit of an old Alice Cooper track. I sense more millennium disaster looming, eek! Albums has a duet with Whitney Houston and George Michael, there’s a touch of David Gray and Craig David. Music for the millennium was rife!
