To have a proper biblical worldview, one of the things you must understand is that man was not made for the earth; the earth was made for man. The earth is here to serve the purpose of God in subduing the earth and taming it. There is a great clash in worldviews when people suggest that the earth is greater than humanity, that the earth is a personality—i.e., Mother Earth. Today we are in a crisis regarding “Mother Earth.” There is a war going on in Europe because many of the nations of the world are dependent on Russia’s oil.
