As the war unfolds, current Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is asking more support from NATO allies, such as Germany, France and the United Kingdom, etc. Meanwhile, China is the center player for Ukraine, when it comes to Asia. It is believed that China could do more, if possible, and might could bring miracles. Is China willing to do so? How should we understand the history between Ukraine and China? What is China doing to help with the war?
Dr. Vita Golod obatained her PhD in economics. She is a Junior Research Fellow of the Modern Studies Department at the A. Yu. Krymskyi Institute of Oriental Studies. She is the Chairman of the Board of the Ukrainian Association of Sinologists. She Co-founded of the Ukrainian Platform for Contemporary China.
