Ullrson returns with his fifth release of Viking Techno. The track includes the chanting of Thor’s name, crashing waves, thunder, a pounding kick drum, talgelharpas, jaw harps, anvils and a dark and haunting war horn. The track conjures up images of Thor’s battle with Jormungandr the Midgard Serpent during the end of the world battle of Ragnarök. Thor is a god who protects humanity here in Midgard (Middle Earth). To the Norse he is Thor, to the Anglo-Saxons, Thunor and to the Germanic tribes, Donar. It’s where we get the name Thursday from (Thor’s Day).
