Ulster GAA: Funding for Sports Programme & Ulster Football Semi-Finals - Episode 13

Listen Later

I this episode I revisit the GPK Daily theme with a look at some of the sports stories that I am interested in. Having got a poor response to This Teaching Life I have decided to go back to what I enjoy best and report on sport particularly GAA and Ulster football.
I have extensive knowledge of this area having coached all the way through to Senior Club level, County Minor level and as a Coach Tutor for the Ulster GAA Council.
So my main topics for this episode are:
The funding or lack of it for the school sport programme, I reference recent statements by Paddy Tally, Down Senior Football Manager, and Michael O'Neill Manager of Northern Ireland's Soccer team and give my own views on this issue, and
I also take a look at the upcoming football semi finals in Ulster where Healy Park Omagh hosts a very attractive double-header.
I briefly touch on the proposed rule changes within gaelic football but that is one for a much wider discourse and deserves an episode to itself.
My Twitter feed is the best place to continue the discussion:

You can also still link to educational articles on the blog at:
http://www.beingthebestucanb.com/
But I'm also going to mix more sport into that as well over the next month to gauge the response.
I hope everyone enjoys the podcast and don't forget to LIKE & SHARE, thanks.
