On this episode with talk with Kate Walton, who is the epitome of tenacity, grit and awesomeness. Kate Walton owns her own business providing Government and Public Affairs services to health care and business organizations. She has a long history in public policy working for the Iowa Medical Society and UnitPoint Health before forming her own business.  Kate served as the Policy Director for Governor Chet Culver and Lt. Governor Patty Judge. Prior to joining the Governor’s staff Kate worked as the Legislative Liaison to the Department of Human Services and served as Vice President of Government and Public Relations at Orchard Place. Her work experience also includes time with the national Democratic party in Washington, DC and staff for Senator Tom Harkin. Kate holds a Bachelor of Science in Family Social Science and a Masters in Education, both from the University of Minnesota. Kate lives in Indianola with her husband John Moorlach and their two children Ava (16) and Amelia (12). Kate talks about what it takes to run a business and an ultra marathon!
