Welcome to We Are the Worst! This week, we are sandwiching a bit of terrible between a little bit of fun – think of it as a sandwich with all of the meats that you hate!

Maggie is up first and she’s got a story about a terrible incel piece of garbage named Elliot Rodger. Elliot thought that he was entitled to sex and relationships with women and that he didn’t have to put any effort into actually getting them. Elliot was wrong. Unfortunately, he didn’t like being wrong, so he decided to kill a bunch of people before then killing himself. We have no jokes about this story because it sucks.

We do have some jokes about the ULTRA Samurai Taira no Masakado, who in the 900s was the strongest of the Samurai in Japan and also was super nice to poor people. Unfortunately for him, his uncles were not fans and had him murdered by beheading. Taira no Masakado is now a ghostly head that haunts folks in Japan who make fun of him or build a shrine for him that is too small.
