What does the sanctuary have to do with the prophecies of Daniel?
In Part 1, we explored the earthly sanctuary, its three sections, the symbolism of its furnishings, and the meaning of the Most Holy Place. Now we turn to the prophecies that point beyond the earthly sanctuary and toward Christ's work in the heavenly sanctuary.
In this episode, we walk through Daniel 2, 7, 8, and 9, looking at how each prophecy builds upon the one before it. We discuss the succession of earthly kingdoms, Daniel's visions of the heavenly judgment, the little horn, the 1260-year prophecy, and the relationship between Daniel 7 and the sanctuary.
Then we turn to one of the Bible's most significant time prophecies: the 2,300 days of Daniel 8:14 and the 70-week prophecy of Daniel 9. We explore how these prophecies point to the ministry, death, and work of Jesus—and how the 2,300-year prophecy leads us to 1844 and the cleansing of the heavenly sanctuary.
And perhaps most importantly, we ask:
What is Jesus doing right now?
Join us as we explore the sanctuary not merely as an ancient system of worship, but as a picture of God's plan of salvation and Christ's continuing ministry as our High Priest.
