My two cents on premiere Orlando and where the beauty industry is going.

this weekend opened my eyes because it validated how I've been feeling about the industry. I know this won't affect everyone, but its something to think about as you progress within the industry.

I love my industry and my friends, but either we learn how to grow together or we will continue to grow apart.

I had the chance to interview my friend Carly and truth be told, this episode was really just for me LOL. I admire what Carly has done with her audience on social media and what her mission stands for as we have similar missions.

Her education has been a staple to many and a staple in the hair industry. She's the truly encompassed the "fuck it, I'll figure it out" mentality and I just love that about her.

The Blonde Chronicles was the first virtual education platform that I saw that piqued my interest, and I love what she's done/continues doing with her social pages.

Her raw take on building a social platform is why she continues to be one of my favorite educators. She speaks about the truth to building an empire and that it's not as easy as it looks, so if you ever find yourself comparing, just remember that we all start from not knowing what the hell we're doing.
