A California Highway Patrol Officer was recently involved in a shooting, resulting in the death of a man armed with an Electronic Control Device (ECD), better known as stun guns or tasers. The California Attorney General's Office considers stun guns non-deadly weapons and deemed the decedent to have been "unarmed" at the time of the shooting.

We also compare this case to a similar incident from 2020 in Georgia and why the outcome of that criminal investigation could have nationwide implications.
