This week, Debbie kicks things off telling Kelly about Isabella Bird - 19th Century explorer, photographer, writer, and naturalist... and possibly Kelly in a former life 😉. This lady was a true-blue badass and wasn’t shy about speaking up for what she thought was right and good. She was also a fucking survivor and accomplished a helluva lot in spite of persistent spinal and other health issues.
Kelly then shares the story of Mairi Chisholm & Elsie Knocker, also known as “The Madonnas/Angels of Pyrvese.” These were the ONLY two ladies allowed on the Western Front in WWI, and for good reason: they were badasses. They saved the lives of thousands of men wounded on the front — the number one took they utilized? Their motorcycles.
The ladies are super excited to be back in the normal flow of things in the New Year and appreciate all of the love and support you guys have been throwing at Kelly while she recovers from becoming a cyborg. She’s decided to call her implant Robert. Like Robert (Im)Plant. Get it? Yeah, there’s a reason why her nickname is Nerdzilla.
