In this episode we we see that verb picked a screaming white rose, and that caused them to attack, but the masked man had a trick up his sleeve, before Jenny would kill the horde of screaming white roses, the masked man personified them as people that Vanessa knew… making the killer screaming white roses harder to kill. And one in particular was uncle joss.
