  • I Act Like I'm Rich (But It's Not What You Think)

In this episode, I’m talking about something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately: the power of allowing yourself to experience pieces of your dream life before you’ve fully arrived.

My husband and I live in an area I’ve always dreamed of living in, even though we’re not in our dream home yet. And driving the Jetour Dashing has made the life I’m working towards feel a little more tangible. It’s made me feel closer to the woman I’ve always envisioned becoming.

I’ve come to believe that sometimes, you need to put yourself in environments that remind you of what’s possible. Go to that beautiful hotel in the neighbourhood you dream of living in. Order a coffee if that’s what your budget allows. Experience the atmosphere. Let yourself imagine a different kind of life. You don’t have to afford the entire menu to belong in the room.

And no, I’m not telling you to go into debt, live recklessly, or pretend to have money you don’t have. I’m talking about being intentional about the life you’re building, making the most of what you can afford today, and refusing to believe that your current circumstances are the limit of what your life can become.

Because sometimes, experiencing a small piece of the life you want is what helps you believe that it’s possible for you, too.

In this episode, we talk about:

    • Why you shouldn’t always wait until you’ve “made it” to enjoy your life
    • How your environment can influence your identity, mindset and aspirations
    • The difference between living beyond your means and intentionally expanding your world
    • Why experiencing the life you want can make your dreams feel more attainable
    • Becoming your dream self before you have your dream life

Your dream life doesn’t have to begin the day you finally achieve everything on your vision board. You can start building it, experiencing it and becoming the woman who lives it right now.

Let’s talk in the comments. 🤎

  • Should you follow your passion or choose a career that pays?

We’re often told to pursue what we love, follow our dreams, and trust that everything will work out. But what happens when, years later, you look back and wonder whether following your passion was the right decision?

In this episode, we get honest about the tension between passion, purpose, and financial security. My husband shares his personal experience of pursuing his passion for 10 years and why he now has regrets, prompting a bigger conversation about career choices, money, and the realities of building a life you love.

We discuss whether following your passion is always good advice, whether it’s possible to turn something you love into a sustainable career, and how to balance what fulfils you with what pays the bills.

Because sometimes, choosing a career isn’t just about what you love. It’s also about the life you’re trying to build.

    In this conversation:

    • Passion vs. financial security
    • My husband’s 10-year journey and career regrets
    • Is following your passion a privilege?
    • What happens when your passion doesn’t pay?
    • Should you pursue your passion or prioritise a stable income?
    • What we’d tell someone trying to figure out their career path

Let’s talk: Have you ever regretted pursuing something you were passionate about? Would you choose passion or money if you had to pick one?

  • If you want to be successful, LIVE AS IF YOUR PARENTS ARE DEAD

In today’s car pod, I’m talking about people-pleasing, the fear of disappointing your family, and learning to live life on your own terms. We explore the uncomfortable reality that our parents are human beings figuring life out for the first time, too and that loving and respecting the people who raised us doesn’t mean we have to let their expectations dictate our lives.

Because sometimes, growing into yourself means making choices other people don’t understand. And sometimes, you have to be willing to disappoint people to stop disappointing yourself.

    Let’s talk about it. ☕

  • Can You Still Have Sleepovers, Single Friends & Opposite-Sex Friends When Married?

In this episode, my husband and I sit down for an honest conversation about friendship, marriage, boundaries, and what happens when two people don’t see eye to eye on what is appropriate in a relationship.

We discuss whether married people should have friends of the opposite sex, whether it’s okay to maintain close friendships with single people when you’re married, and whether you should still be having sleepovers at your friends’ houses after getting married. We also get into what happens when you don’t like your partner’s friends, whether your spouse should have a say in who you’re friends with, and how to balance individuality with commitment.

We don’t agree on everything, and that’s exactly what makes this conversation interesting. 😂

    In this episode, we discuss:

    • What happens when you don’t like your partner’s friends
    • Having friends of the opposite sex when you’re married
    • Whether married people should have single friends
    • Sleepovers with friends after marriage
    • Boundaries, trust, and respect in relationships
    • How much should marriage change your friendships?

Now we want to hear from you: Do you think your partner’s friends can be a red flag? And should your spouse have a say in the friendships you maintain?

Drop your thoughts in the comments. We want to hear both sides of this conversation!

  • Things we thought we’d have figured out by 27

At 27, we thought certain things would look very different.

We thought we’d be further along in our careers, own property, have children, and be in a completely different place financially.

In this episode, Kudz and I have an honest conversation about the lives we imagined for ourselves, the expectations we put on our twenties, and what it feels like when reality doesn’t quite match the picture in your head.

From careers and money to buying a home and starting a family, we talk about where we are, where we hoped we’d be, and learning to navigate the space in between.

If you’ve ever looked at your life and wondered, “Is this where I’m supposed to be by now?” this conversation is for you.

Welcome to Uncomfortable on Purpose ; conversations about growth, and becoming.

Let’s talk about it: What did you think your life would look like by 27?

  • What It Really Feels Like to Build the Life You Asked For

    It’s been a while, friend.

In this episode, I’m catching you up on what’s been happening in my life and behind the scenes of my journey as a creator.

The exciting opportunities, the doubts, the comparison, the vulnerability, and the parts of growth that nobody really talks about.

I’ve been learning that sometimes when you ask for a bigger life, you’re first given the lessons that prepare you to carry it.

So if you’re in a season of becoming too, this one is for you. 🤍

  • 5 Things I’ve Completely Changed My Mind About

Some of the beliefs I held most strongly a few years ago… I don’t believe anymore.

In this episode, I’m sharing five things I’ve completely changed my mind about, from what confidence looks like as a Black woman, to friendships, family relationships, my accounting journey, and the need to be well-liked.

We talk about how my perspective on natural hair has evolved, why I no longer measure my worth by the number of friendships I have, how I’ve learned to approach difficult family relationships with more grace than retaliation, and why I’m finally grateful for the accounting career I once saw as a detour.

I also share one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned as a creator: being authentic and living with integrity doesn’t guarantee that everyone will like you, and that’s okay.

If you’ve ever looked back and realized you’ve outgrown an opinion you once defended, this conversation is for you.

  • Money, Self-Worth & The Fear of Charging More

Why does asking for more money feel so personal?

In this episode, I’m unpacking the internal struggle of charging higher for my work and the money beliefs I didn’t realise I was carrying. From negotiating with brands to questioning my own worth, I’ve started to see that pricing isn’t just a business decision—it’s often a reflection of the stories we believe about ourselves.

We explore where our beliefs about money come from, how family, culture and past experiences shape the way we value ourselves, and why entrepreneurship has a way of exposing every insecurity we thought we’d hidden. This isn’t an episode about getting rich. It’s about learning to separate your worth from your price and giving yourself permission to take up space, ask for what your work deserves, and build a healthier relationship with money.

If you’ve ever apologised for your prices, felt guilty for wanting more, or wondered whether you’re “worth it,” this conversation is for you.

  • What You Didn’t Know About Me | Q&A

This week’s episode is a little different.

Instead of diving into a specific topic, I’m letting you get to know me a little better. I asked my husband to come up with a list of questions, and I answered them without knowing what was coming.

It feels less like an interview and more like sitting down for coffee with a friend.

If you’ve been listening for a while and have wondered who I am outside of the advice, wellness conversations, and self-development, this episode is for you.

I hope you enjoy getting to know me a little better. 🤍
