Have you ever felt like you had failed the Lord?

Simon Peter had denied Jesus at the critical hour of judgement. The story doesn’t end there and I’m glad it doesn’t. After His resurrection Jesus came seeking Simon. He found him back in his fishing boat.

On the shore, Jesus built a fire and cooked supper. He and Simon had a private conversation that was absolutely critical for Simon’s well being. Has this not happened, Peter might never gotten over his failure.

We all fail. We may think we won’t but we will. Restoration demands a necessary but uncomfortable conversation with our Savior.
