President Obama stressed the need to take action against climate change during his recent three-day trip to Alaska as the state is experiencing one of its worst wildfire seasons in recent history, melting glaciers, and a record setting warming trend. Meanwhile, Pope Francis, who is scheduled to visit the U.S. in September, published an Encyclical stating that people of faith have a moral obligation to fight climate change and preserve the earth.
