A couple of years after meeting in an online, video game chat room, Colette jumped on a plane to meet Chris in Michigan. She ignored her friends’ concerns about meeting a “strange man” online, brushed off their disastrous first date via Skype, and hoped for the best.

What she got was a love story that contains passionate whisker burns, sage advice from a New York cabbie and a hotel room with a see-through bathroom wall.
