We introduce you to the town of Liverpool with some key points about the city.  Visiting the historic waterfront in Liverpool, is another opportunity to add a UNESCO World Heritage Site to your travel adventures.

A trip to Liverpool would be incomplete without soaking up some Beatles history.  We take a walk down Matthew Street, to visit the area where the Beatles would hone their craft, including the Cavern Club.  We also take photos at the Beatles statue installed on the 50th anniversary of their final Liverpool performance.

Our fun facts on this episode include some learning moments about the city's Liverbird, musical trivia, and a few things related to railways and libraries.

We consulted “DK Eyewitness Travel Guide Great Britain” for identifying specific attractions to include during our trip.  The book was helpful to identify walking tours, museums, as well as providing days and times that specific places are open to visit.  We recommend purchasing a book similar to this one when planning a longer trip.
