Sara Dyson was diagnosed in March 2020 with a rare type of brain tumour called Oligodendroglioma, the third most-common type of glioma accounting for around three percent of all primary brain tumours. After repeatedly told by doctors that her scans were ‘all clear’, Sara discovered the tumour had returned four years later to the day after personally sending them to neurosurgeon Professor Charlie Teo for review.
A dedicated wife and mother of four young children, Sara and husband Mark began building their dream home with Ellis Developments before receiving the latest diagnosis. Professor Charlie Teo has agreed to perform Sara’s surgery however this comes at a cost to the family of $90,000 for the flights, accommodation, hospital and
surgery fees.
